Let the games begin...

Well, I am a little slow in the startup, but ready to figure out this whole blog-thing. Bear with me while I get the hang of it....

As the writings expand, I plan to talk about the things that I know best. I have been around on this planet for 50 something years. I have lived in Vermont since 1973. I am married, mother of two, and grandmother of one. I have been selling real estate since 1979. I am a lover of old houses having lived in them for most of my life. My husband and I just made a change in this department, and we built a 'green' reproduction cape. I enjoy Vermont life at the end of a dirt road, and we share our house with 2 dogs and 2 cats. I follow the Red Sox, I knit, I work a lot, I am a vegetarian. I don't have a television, but do have a computer. I enjoy a lot of things, but don't get to do them enough...traveling, kayaking, snowshoeing, and working in the yard. I used to ride horses and ski, but I haven't in years. I like theater, books, happy endings, inspirational quotes, and glass-half-full people.

I get a charge out of helping others. I walked the 26.2 Boston Marathon route last September to raise money for the Jimmy Fund (Dana Farber Cancer Institute), and I have donation program that I call The Goodwill Project. I like heating with wood, eating healthy food, and would like to lose twenty pounds. Someday I am going to run a marathon.

I love my work. No two days are the same. I still get a thrill when someone finds a property they love, especially if it is their first. I like problem solving and this is a good thing because there is no such thing as a smooth transaction any more. I am not a quitter, and I think anything is possible.

How all of this will turn into a blog about Vermont real estate and country living remains to be seen!
